Career hopefuls in business and technology are drawn to Idaho's competitive global market. According to the Idaho Department of Commerce and Labor, the state ranks third on Business Facilities magazine's list of Top 10 Rapid Growth States for the 2000-2010 decade.

And the American Electronics Association reports that the Idaho tech industry is holding its own against a national race for technology credibility.

The American Electronics Association also reports that Idaho high-tech employment was up by 146,600 out of 5.8 million workers in 2006. Workers in the industry earned an average wage of $61,900; that's 103% more than the state's average private sector wage. Top companies offering opportunities for graduates include Micron Technology, Inc., AMI Semiconductors, Bechtel BWXT Idaho, and MPC Computers.
