Mississippi Computer Training Schools

Despite recent difficulties, IT and computer job and training opportunities are booming in Mississippi. The Gulf Coast--particularly the state of Mississippi--is beginning to make a marked comeback from the ravages of Katrina.

And that means a viable learning and working environment for technology students fresh out of high school or considering a mid-career change.

Forbes recently ranked Gulfport-Biloxi Metropolitan Statistical Area #9 in its Top 10 list of the nation's fastest-growing small metro areas. A 23.12% increase in gross national product and 17% increase in population by 2010 are expected in the Gulfport-Biloxi area. One of the key tech niches that should gain momentum in Mississippi is biomass. The Mississippi Technology Alliance reports that Strategic Biomass Initiative will strengthen research and development among Mississippi universities as well as businesses in the private sector.
