High-Tech Institute of Phoenix was formed in June of 1982 as successor to the Electronic Institute of Arizona, which was founded in 1965.

High-Tech Institute is based upon excellence in curriculum, staffing, equipment and service to the student body, industry, and the community-at-large. The School is committed to a "hands-on" approach to reinforce the theory taught in the classroom and to provide the student with practical experience in the uses of "real-world" equipment. The curriculum and laboratory equipment are frequently updated to adjust to the current needs of modern industry. Few educational institutions are so closely attentive to the professional needs of a rapidly evolving technology and changing industry.
