New Training for New Oracle Technology

Revenues of $3.6 billion in the first quarter of the new fiscal year are just one sign that Oracle, and its increasingly valuable database technology, will be a staple of careers in information technology for a long time to come.

Oracle as Strong as Ever

Training in database technology is only growing in importance to information technology professionals. The database giant Oracle is already showing a profit increase of 29% in the fiscal year 2007.

Most of Oracle's new profits have come not from the middleware it manufactures, but from new licenses for applications. Oracle's eBusiness Suite has issued nearly 50% more licenses than at this time last year.

Oracle training was also up 13% from last fiscal year. Oracle training is needed for hundreds of thousands of computer jobs per year. Oracle Content Database (OCDB) training in particular has been upgraded and reissued to the information technology industry, and a new line of Oracle 2007 products will require further training.

Seeing the Future

If you work in a computer job that uses Oracle, and will need Oracle training to address the changes in its technology, think about the best training option for you. Licensed third-party vendors are often the most efficient (and affordable) way to become Oracle Certified. Oracle training provides long-term career benefits to computer professionals.
