Understanding HTML gives you complete control over a page - something not even the best Web development programs do - allowing you to bring your best design visions to life. What is HTML?

HTML is the primary markup language used in Web page design today. HTML enables you to format, structure, and place text, graphics and effects on a Web page. It also is what allows movement between web pages within a Web site and to other pages and sites. Long story short, if the Internet is a growing body of information, HTML is the brain that guides it and the muscle that holds it together. Other languages, like JavaScript or CGI, can give pages a boost, but it's HTML that holds everything together.

What's more, understanding the code will give you 100 percent control over your work. Lots of people can use the same programs and get the same results; only those who are able to work beyond these programs' limitations can create something truly spectacular. So, whether you are working independently or for a Web design company, HTML training is an absolute must.
