The Value of Visual Basic Training

By Joe Cooper

Used to create graphical interface applications, Visual Basic (VB) is a Microsoft language that many computer programmers use. Visual Basic is a great programming language to learn for those working in the Windows environment, and the right Visual Basic training can be a major resume boost.

Computer Pros Use Visual Basic

Training in Visual Basic can help IT and computer programming professionals to qualify for a number of career options. A Visual Basic training program in VB .NET can prepare you for a job as a Visual Basic .NET Programmer. A training program in VB 6.0 or the upcoming 9.0 might prepare you for Visual Basic QL/SQL Programmer. Many of these jobs may offer flexibility by being a contracted position.

Positions which use Visual Basic can also be permanent as well, depending on what type of computer job you're seeking. Some positions focus on general information technology projects, while a VB .NET-based job might focus on developing Web server code for a business. Many jobs focus on developing software modules, and all of them use Microsoft applications in day-to-day use.

Visual Basic's Latest Evolution

Visual Basic, the programming language developed by Microsoft for Windows applications, is on the verge of a new release. Visual Basic 9 is scheduled to debut in 2007, although Microsoft has already begun discussing Visual Basic 10, to be known also as "VBx." Updating your Visual Basic training can help you stay ahead of the curve and at the front of the pack when seeking your next job.
